Guillermo del Toro and “Coco”, the greaters winners on 2018 gala of Oscar Awards
The Mexican director Guillermo del Toro won the Oscar 2018 in the categories of best director and best film, for the shape of water. In addition, the movie “Coco” won the award for the best animated film.
The 90 gala of the Oscars stood out for the great triumph of Mexico. Guillermo del Toro won the Oscar for best director and the best film for “Shape of Water”. In addition, this production got two more statuettes for Production Design and Original Music. The speech of the Mexican director was optimistic and very happy: “When I was a child I thought that this could not happen, but it has happened. Using fantasy to tell stories is a gift, it is a door that must be broken down and entered.”
Coco has been the other winning film of the night. He won the Oscar for the best animated film and the best song ‘Remember me’.
Coco is a film that shows in an intense and very detailed way how Mexicans live and celebrate the party that is considered the most important for the country. “the day of the Dead”. (El día de Muertos).
